He was predeceased by : his wife Annette L. "Nancy" Sommer; and his siblings, Weston, Vernon and Margaret Krenn. He is survived by : his children, Nancy Vander Tuuk (Duane) and Vincent Jr. Sommer (Martha); his grandsons, Christopher Vander Tuuk (Ali), Steven Vander Tuuk (Carol), Timothy Vander Tuuk (Sara), Joshua Vander Tuuk and Steven Sommer; and his great grandchildren, Ryan, Justin, Zachary, Alexis, Brock, Jacob, Casey, Kara and Austin.
