We announce the death of William E. LaPiana (Orland Park, Illinois), who passed away on August 19, 2026, at the age of 77. William will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Loretta Mamola; his children, Stephen LaPiana, John LaPiana, Nicholas LaPiana (Samantha) and Olivia Gaides (Daniel); his grandchildren, Charlotte, Isaac and Claire; his siblings, John LaPiana (Grace), Anthony LaPiana and Mary Calabria (Robert); and his sisters-in-law, Linda Barthel (James), Jeanette Marchelya (Terry) and Joan Roberts (Joseph).
