It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Ruane (Orland Park, Illinois), who passed away on July 28, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Owen Ruane and Mary Ruane; and his siblings, Martin, John, Paddy, James, Br. Kevin, Owen, Tom, Theresa, Kathleen and Mary.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ruane; his sons, William Ruane (Mary Ellen), Patrick Ruane (Dana) and Daniel Ruane (Kate); and his grandchildren, Kaitlin (Cody), Thomas, Claire (Nicholas), Kassandra, Declan, Ella Grace, Grady, John and Auden.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home - Orland Park (9000 W 151st St, Orland Park, IL 60462). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 9:45 AM at the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home (9000 W 151st St, Orland Park, IL 60462). A Mass will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Church (15050 Wolf Rd, Orland Park, IL 60467).
