Bruce Andrew Bonebrake Obituary
On Sunday, May 23rd, 2021, Bruce Bonebrake, loving father, son, and friend passed away at age 56.
Bruce was born on June 30th, 1964 in Chicago, IL to Doug and Carol (Schweger) Bonebrake. He received his business degree in 1987 from Illinois Wesleyan University, and had many endeavors in life including working as a village administrator for 25 years in both Frankfort, IL, and Oswego, IL. He started his own business (Hemostem). He also followed his dream of becoming an attorney after graduating from Northern Illinois University school of business in 2005. On June 18th, 1988, he married Sarah Bonebrake, and together they raised two daughters, Maria and Aimee Bonebrake, and a son, Nick Bonebrake.
Bruce followed his dreams wherever they took him. He loved animals, reading, cooking, and movies. He enjoyed making people laugh, and had a good sense of humor. He loved camping in Quetico, Canada. He was known for his quick wit, infectious laugh, and his strong sense of self.
Bruce is survived by his three children, Maria (Tim), Aimee (Jimmy), and Nick, his grandchildren, Elizabeth, and Elianah, his parents, Carol and Doug Bonebrake, and his siblings, Peter Bonebrake and Jeff Bonebrake, as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews, and extended family.
