He was predeceased by : his parent Dola Cunningham; his wife Kathryn D. Cunningham; his daughter Nancy Jo Junas; his grandsons, John G. Kimpan III, Joseph G. Kimpan and Dennis L. Cunningham; and his siblings, Dorothy Friel and Raymond Cunningham.

He is survived by : his children, Sally Bartlett of Center Point, TX, Dennis Cunningham of Okeechobee, FL, Carol Cunningham of Oswego, IL and Patricia Serrano (Hector) of Winter Garden, FL. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
