It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary (Backas) LaBotz (Oswego, Illinois), who passed away on August 5, 2022, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Paul Backas and Josephine Betty Doyle; her siblings, Karen, Robert, Lois (Gene Byrne), Paula (Peter Newbery) and Meg Backas (Mark Zablocki); her children, Maureen (Jeremy) and Matthew; her grandchildren, Jordan and Evan; her nieces, Mary Slotkowski (Jim Alessi) and Maggie Byrne (Brandon Carrel); her nephew Peter Byrne (Rebecca Wolfe); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Sean, Leo, Conor, Paul and Baby Bingo; her aunt Marge; and her cousin Galena.
