She was predeceased by: her parents, Ole Alsvig and Borghild Alsvig (Nerland); her husband Chester Hatland; and her siblings, Bernice, Amy, Betty, Ada and Oluf.
She is survived by: her children, Joye Ford (David) of Huntington, IN, Stephen Hatland (Deborah) of Marion, IN, Phillip Hatland of Ottawa and Daniel Hatland (Connie) of Harding; her siblings, Ruth Stephens and Gordon Alsvig; and her sisters-in-law, Edith Alsvig and Gloria Hatland. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church (651 W Madison St, Ottawa, IL 61350). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Baker Cemetery.
