She was predeceased by: her father James "Smoke" Walters; and her goddaughter Taryn Nicole Pakenham. She is survived by: her mother RuthAnn Walters (Sorenson) of Port Charlotte, FL; her husband Dan Pond of Ottawa, Illinois; her children, Alex Pond (Samie) of Oglesby, Chrissy Pond of LaSalle and Lexie Pond of Grand Ridge, Illinois.; her brothers, Jim Walters (Julie) of Daytona and Kyle Walters of Mendota; and her grandchildren, Scarlett, Blakely and Hayden.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Horner-Merritt Funeral Home (800 Monroe St, Mendota, IL 61342). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 at 1:15 PM at the same location.
