He was predeceased by: his father David L. Alteri; and his brother Mike Alteri. He is survived by: his mother Dolores Alteri Sr. (Nelson) of La Salle; his wife Denise Alteri of Ottawa; his sons, David Alteri III of Ottawa and Joseph Alteri of Joliet; his stepchildren, Ashley Watland of Ottawa and Phillip Watland (Shandi) of La Salle; his grandchildren, Xavior, Jayde and Mila Watland; and his siblings, Donald Alteri of La Salle and Laurie Novotney (Ed) of Peru.
