He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Smith and Delores McCoullough Smith; and his siblings, Edward Smith Jr., Ron Joy and Carol Toadalen.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Battistelli; his children, Tim Smith (Michael), Kevin Smith (Debra) and Lesley Lowery (Ryan); his brother-in-law David Battistelli (John Caruso); his grandchildren, Karter Lowery, Kennedy Smith, Konner Smith, Kendall Lowery and Kambell Lowery; and his brother Bill Smith.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family, which will later distribute them to causes that were important to Gary.
