He is survived by: his parents, Nick McLaughlin and Laura McLaughlin of Tonica; his brothers, Jude and Jett; his grandparents, Tim McLaughlin of Ottawa, Gillian Kooi of Ottawa, Pam (Wright) of Peru and Ron (Lenhausen) of Utica; his uncles, Josh and Jimmy McLaughlin of Berwick, Maine; his aunt Amy Lenhausen (Brendan Lockerby) of Chicago, Illinois; and his son Matthew. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Crossbridge Community Church (4161 Columbus St, Ottawa, IL 61350). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
