She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilfred Salz and Mildred Salz (Bulfer); her husband Glen M. Walter; and her siblings, Mary Elizabeth, Will Salz and Ann Nichols.
She is survived by: her children, Brian Walter of Ames, IA, Brenda Walter of Washington, IL and Briget Rivett (Paul) of Seneca; her grandchildren, Zachary Rivett and Haley Sessoms (Anthony); her great grandchild Bloom; and her siblings, Norbert Salz (Janet) of Leeds, MA, John Salz (Irene) of Springfield, Mike Salz of Wenona and Calista Brumett of Wenona.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Grand Ridge Funeral Home (125 Sylvan Ave, Grand Ridge, IL 61325). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at the Grand Ridge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Grand Ridge Fire Department or the Ottawa Concert Association.
