We bid farewell to Joan Klag of Ottawa, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 7, 2025 at the age of 94. Joan touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin DeBrusselles and Elaine DeBrusselles (Parsons); her husband Jack; her son Stephen Klag; and her sister Barb Ong.
She is survived by: her son Mike Klag (Molly); her grandchildren, Jeremiah J. Klag (Lacey), Stephanie Larsen (Devon), Melissa Conforti, Heather Shane (Will), Jeff Klag (Alison) and Katie Banks (Austin); and her great grandchildren, Jeremiah S., Charlea, John Klag, Hannah, Hailey Larsen, Dominic, Luca Conforti, Brock, Tucker Shane, Lex, Gus Klag, Ava and Amber Banks. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Ottawa Funeral Home (1111 La Salle St, Ottawa, IL 61350). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (820 Sanger St, Ottawa, IL 61350).
