He is survived by: his wife Joy Read Christie; his children, Brian Christie (Beth) of Cedar Lake, IN and Allison Mueller (Mike) of Crystal Lake, IL; his grandchildren, Ethan Read, Jillian Ruth, Molly Rae and Hope Ann; his nieces and nephews, Charles Christie Jr. (Gabriela), Linda Christie, Scott Pray (Mary-Rachel), Daniel Pray, Laurie Gage, Read Gage, Bruce Gage (Cheryl) and Curt Read (Lori); his great-nephew David Gage (Kelly); and his great-nieces, Kaylee Read and Karie Stecken (Dan).
Memorials may be made to the United Students Ministry at Crossbridge Church or to the band program at Shepherd Middle School, both in Ottawa, IL.
