She was predeceased by : her parents, Benjamin Harden and Marie Harden (Hicks); her husband Vernon E. Distin; her brothers, Howard Eugene, Kenneth, David, George and Danny Harden; and her great grandchild Oatley Vernon Dale.

She is survived by : her grandchildren, Jill, Stephanie, Christina Lemrise, Sarah Spicer and Ben Distin; her children, Deb Spicer (Mike Simon) of Orlando, Connie Franzen (Ron) of Highland, Terry Distin of Ottawa, Mary Lemrise (Al) of Peru, Julie Distin of Ottawa, Helen Rockford-Wells (Rusty) of Ottawa, Sharon Torres of Ottawa and Mike Harden (Martha) of Grand Ridge; her grandchildren, Jon Spicer, Amy Winfrey (Adam), Jaclyn Stahlhut (John), Chris Distin and Allie (Kevin Dale); and her great grandchildren, Ava, Andrew Winfrey, Leonardo, Lincoln, Lyanna Dale, Cash Stahlhut and Blakely Spicer-Fraser.
