It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilyn J. Steenhoek of Ottawa, Illinois, who passed away on October 7, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Mathes and Norma Mathes (Phillips); her husband Doug Jensen; her son Jason Patrick (James Steenhoek); and her sister Kay Kozel.
She is survived by: her daughter Rebecca Snook (Chris); her daughter-in-law Nikki Alvarado Jensen; her siblings, Carol DeMoss and Ralph Mathes (Chris); her brother-in-law Bruce Jensen (Alyce); her grandchildren, Olivia Bryant, Jensen Bryant (Heidi), Jack Snook (Kendra), Payton Jensen (Marissa), Presley and Pazley Jensen; and her great grandchildren, Lennon Snook, Sebastian Bryant Skyles, Jake and Ethan Johnson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home (1601 E Norris Dr, Ottawa, IL 61350). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to LaSalle County Court Appointed.
