She was predeceased by: her parents, David Hill and Marie Hill (Stoudt); her former husband George Schunke; and her siblings, John Hill, Mary Anne Farrell, Sharon Carey and Margaret McGrath.

She is survived by: her husband Gary Hefler; her sons, Ryan (Karlie) and Derek Schunke (Crystal); her stepdaughter Sarah Hefler; her grandchildren, River Abram (Allison) and Rylin Schunke; her sisters, Dava Aussem, Lori Stephenson (Nort) and Theresa Schott (Jerry); and her brother-in-law Jerry Carey.
