He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Mitchell and Betty Mitchell (Skaggs); his wife Mary Jane Mathis; and his mother-in-law Nellie Ann Mathis. He is survived by: his children, Mark Mitchell of Ottawa, Matthew Mitchell of Ottawa and Emily Pender (Dave) of Peru; his grandchild Percival Pender of Peru; and his sisters, Sherill Dougherty, Shellie Olesen and Tamara Sipula.
