It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ralph Nelson of Ottawa, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on November 28, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Sadie Nelson; his wife Ellen Park; his children, Joellyn Groesch (Andrew) of Glen Ellyn, Scott Nelson (Susan) of Hinsdale and Stephen Nelson (Julia) of Western Springs; his grandchildren, Jenna Sheingold, Andrew Jr., Samuel Groesch (Katie), Amanda Giacobbe (Wesley), Peter, Elizabeth, Sarah Nelson, McHale, Lucas and Jacob Nelson; his great grandchild William; and his siblings, Robert Nelson (Donna), Janice Vandervort and Cheryl LaRette (Les).

Due to state regulations and guidelines, social distancing and masks will be required.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to OTHS scholarship fund in Ralph's memory, or Cross Bridge Community Church.
