Ronald H. Dodd Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ronald H. Dodd of Ottawa, Illinois, who passed away on July 31, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Dodd and Leone Dodd. He is survived by: his wife Barbara (Erickson) of Park Ridge; his children, Lisa and Eric (Andrea); his grandchildren, Brittany, Mackenzie, Jakob (Natalia), Hanna (Ryan), Livia and Jordan; his great grandchildren, Alice, Henry and Gabriel; and his brother Dann Dodd of California. He is also survived by two nieces, and two nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mueller Funeral Home - Ottawa (800 1st Ave, Ottawa, IL 61350). A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Oakwood Memorial Park (2405 Champlain St, Ottawa, IL 61350).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the National Parks and Recreation Association (22377 Belmont Ridge Rd, Ashburn, VA 20148), Illinois Parks and Recreation Association (536 East Ave, La Grange, IL 60525), Luther College (700 College Dr, Decorah, IA 52101), or University of St. Francis (500 Wilcox St, Joliet, IL 60435).
