Thomas Nugent Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas Nugent of Ottawa, Illinois, who passed away on June 12, 2025 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Thomas Nugent to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Claire Nugent and Nora Nugent; his brothers, Bill and Ed; his grandchildren, Dakota and Shelby; his nephews, Mark and Ned; his sisters-in-law, Bonnie and Chris Nugent; his parents-in-law, Michael and Genevieve Friar; his brothers-in-law, Michael Friar and Fred O'Donnell; and his sons-in-law, Don Green and Steven Kenyeri.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Mary Friar; his children, Steven (Jackie), Teresa Green, Dana Goodin (Gary), Michael (Ruben Hernandez), Jean Maloney, Mary Kenyeri, Julie Richmond (David), Becky Endres (Joe) and Kathy Daggett (Todd); and his sister Mary O'Donnell. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ottawa Funeral Home (1111 La Salle St, Ottawa, IL 61350). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Columba Catholic Church (122 W Washington St, Ottawa, IL 61350).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Open Door in Sandwich, Illinois, or Marquette Catholic Academy in Ottawa, Illinois, in Tom's memory.
