It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Penelope Moomey of Owaneco, Illinois, who passed away on May 26, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Keith and Margie Myrtle Satterlee (Toberman); and her husband Larry Russell Moomey. She is survived by: her children, Bradley Moomey (Robin) of Owaneco, Brent Moomey (Linda) of Owaneco, Bonita Hadley (Wayne) of Taylorville and Bart Moomey of Owaneco; her grandchildren, Michael Stephens, Shawn Moomey, Penelope Jane Gomez, Eryn McGough (Dylan), Ann Moomey (Pete Broostrom), Ashley Moomey, Caleb Hadley, Levi Hadley (Karlie) and Tyler Moomey (Emily); her sister Lana; her siblings-in-law, Gary Campbell, Jerry and Rita Moomey; and her friend Janet Engeling. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Owaneco United Methodist Church.
