He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Venard Chance and Thelma Louise Chance (Farley); his son-in-law John Hogan; his grandson Matthew Hogan; and his siblings, Glenn Chance, Larry Champion, Richard Champion, Cecil Champion, Jr., Carolyn Soper and Joe Mural Chance.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy I. Conley; his children, Pam Morris (Rusty) of Ozark, Marty Chance (Kindra) of Tunnel Hill and Kim Hogan of Tunnel Hill; his grandchildren, Josh Morris (Alex), Tyler Morris (Cady), Maranda Merchant (Lance), Tayler Chance, Lucas Hogan (Racheal), Reed Hogan and Augusta Hogan; his great grandchildren, Avery Morris, Grady Morris, Hayden Morris, Axel Huckelberry, Elijah Hogan, Marshall Hogan, Briley Merchant and Brynna Merchant; and his siblings, Howard Champion and Patricia Champion of Murphysboro. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
