Edward D. Murnane Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edward D. Murnane (Palatine, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 13, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Murnane and Dorothy Murnane; his brother Michael; and his in-laws, Leo and Millie Steffes.
He is survived by: his wife Laurel; his children, Michael Murnane (Melissa), Terri Otten (Rob) and Brian Murnane (Beth); his grandsons, Connor and Wyatt Murnane; and his children, Jack, Joey, Matthew Marchiori, Finnegan, Eleanor and Maeve Murnane.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home (185 E Northwest Hwy, Palatine, IL 60067). A Mass will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church (1201 E Anderson Dr, Palatine, IL 60074). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery (1185 W Algonquin Rd, Palatine, IL 60067).
