She was predeceased by: her husband Karl Pinkowski; her daughter Karen Ziegler (late James); and her parents, Edmund Schmidt and Helen Schmidt. She is survived by: her children, Kenn Pinkowski (Deborah) and Dori Pinkowski-Cabrera (Ray); her grandchildren, Justin Cabrera, Tyler Cabrera, Olivia Dorman, Emily Efimova (Maxim) and Dylan Cabrera; and her sisters, Cornelia Farber and Ingeborg Jillich.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home (185 E Northwest Hwy, Palatine, IL 60067). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Irving Park Cemetery (7777 W Irving Park Rd, Chicago, IL 60634).
