It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene Lawrence Hlavacek (Palatine, Illinois), who passed away on December 7, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Hlavacek and Mary Hlavacek (Balousek); his brothers, Joseph, William (Josephine), Stanley (Harriet) and Richard Hlavacek (Ruth); his sister-in-law Virginia Ufer Golemo; and his son Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy; his children, Kenneth Hlavacek (Deanna), Cathie Anne Niman (George), Laura Rabideau (Mark), Larry Hlavacek (Jill Rae) and Anne Marie Coombes (John); his grandchildren, Melanie Rzepka (Cole), Douglas Hlavacek (Danielle) and Thomas Eugene Hlavacek; his great grandchildren, Jadyn, Shaelyn, Danielle, Jack Hlavacek and Mason Gene Maro; his brother James Hlavacek (Rhoda); and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Callaham (Mike) and Al Golemo. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Theresa Catholic Church in Palatine, IL.
