He was predeceased by: his spouse Carin E. Ulrich; and his parents, John Ulrich (Hans) and Katherine Ulrich. He is survived by: his daughters, Maggie Roesslein (Kent) and Elizabeth "Cookie" Robinson (Joe); his grandchildren, Kelsey, Ethan, Annabelle "Annie", Calista, Stella, Zac, Charlie, Scarlett, John III and Emerson; his siblings, Barbara Ulrich and William (Kathy); his former wife Gail Cross (Semrow); his daughters, Kimberly Ann Ulrich (Chris) and Margaret Gretchen Ulrich; his friend Mike Small; his sons, John "Johnnie" Michael Ulrich II (Courtney) and Matthew Robert Ulrich (Samantha); and his friend Linda Stalmah.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (200 N Plum Grove Rd, Palatine, IL 60067).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the John Ulrich Memorial Fund, which will support the continued tradition of Coach Ulrich's legacy of Christian education and Bobcat basketball at Immanuel Lutheran School in Palatine, IL.
