It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lawrence Nohr of Palatine, Illinois, who passed away on July 1, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Nohr and Clara Nohr; his spouse Shirley Nohr; his son Lawrence J. Nohr; his sister Ruth Thomka (Mickey); and his sister-in-law Evelyn Carson (Ed).
He is survived by: his child Thomas Nohr; his stepchildren, Peter Moretti (Debbie) and Victoria (Robert); his grandchildren, Michelle Lee, Janelle Reeves, Tony "Jooch" Moretti and Heather Klinger; his great grandchildren, Tommy and Vivian; his sibling's children, Richie Thomka, Eddie Thomka, Mike Thomka and Bob; his cousins, Jimmy Carson, Billy Carson and Marge Nohr; and also, Diane and Rick.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home (201 N Northwest Hwy, Palatine, IL 60067). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at the All Saints Cemetery (700 N River Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60016).
