He is survived by: his wife Claire; and his children, Jane Miller (John), Mary Jo McNeely (Michael), Patrick Gavigan (Julie), Michael Gavigan (Gina), James Gavigan, Douglas Gavigan and Gregory Gavigan (Jennifer). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
