He was predeceased by: his father Robert Earl Spears; and his pet Trixie. He is survived by: his wife Janice Passehl; his children, Jayne Passehl (Kostantinos "Dino" Kapetanos) and John Passehl (Joann); and his siblings, David Passehl (Dawn), Mary Rauso (Michael) and Kurt Passehl (Erin). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
