He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Maryellen McCants (Pickens); his children, Mary Kathryn Liethen (Charles), Colleen Kolze (Ronald) and Mark McCants (Paula); his grandchildren, Aaron Kolze, Alexis Kolze, Jordan McCants, Sarah Liethen, Kilea McCants and Brendan Liethen; and his siblings, Carol Hack (late Warren Hack) and Timothy McCants (Louise). He was also cherished by his children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Holy Family Church (2515 W Palatine Rd, Inverness, IL 60067). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (2515 W Palatine Rd, Inverness, IL 60067).
