He is survived by: his sons, James Schwantz (Brenda), Michael Schwantz, Timothy Schwantz and Robert Schwantz (Michelle); his grandchildren, Ashlynne Weber (Joe), Austin (Mattie), Madalyn, Evelyn and Leo; and his sisters, Flora Nishikawa, Rosie Keller, Jane Glenn and Nancy Beyer.
