With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Anna Jean Purcell of Palestine, Illinois, who passed away on January 27, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Parmer Waldroup and Cordia "Sis" Waldroup (Neer); her brother John Waldroup; and her great grandchildren, Ryley Mullins and Payton Mullins.
She is survived by : her husband Harry "Gene" Purcell; her daughter Judy White of Palestine, IL; her grandchildren, Lisa (Pete Mullins) of Palestine, IL and Brad Ramsey of Palestine, IL; her great grandchildren, Bowen Ramsey of Palestine, IL, Bennen Ramsey of Palestine, IL, Kimberlynn Ramsey of Palestine, IL, Rayleigh Mullins of Palestine, IL, Allison Shidler of Palestine, IL, Destinee Ramsey of Hutsonville, IL, Kyrah Budds of Lawrenceville, IL and Tanner Budds of Lawrenceville, IL; her brother Lee Waldroup of Palestine, IL; and her close friend Christie Herrington.
In honor of her love of literature, memorial contributions may be made to either the "Palestine Public Library" or the "Palestine School Library", with envelopes available at the church.
