It is with sadness that the passing of Roger Hodge of Palestine, Illinois is shared. Roger, born on October 7, 1955, passed away on August 23, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Hodge and Sandra Hodge (Seaney); his sister Debra Sue Lankston; and his nephews, Shawn Lankston and Matt Alderson.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Hodge; his children, Tracy Cribelar (Clayton), Stacy Goodland (Jeff) and Leonard Daugherty (Christy); his grandchildren, Dallas Daugherty (Sarah), Nicholas Pfeifer (Kayla), Tamara Franklin, Elizabeth Skaggs (Andy, family: Daron Skaggs, Lance Skaggs) and Jami Fuller (Jacob); his great grandchildren, Leighton Daugherty, Walker Daugherty and Rosalina Escobedo; and his siblings, Cathy (Rick Alderson), Sherry (Scott Creed), Ed (Diane Hodge), Allen (Angie Hodge) and Ashley (Mark Toliver). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Goodwine Funeral Home (501 W Lamotte St, Palestine, IL 62451). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Riley Children's Hospital, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
