We announce the death of Geraldine Qualls of Palmyra, Illinois, who passed away on August 19, 2026, at the age of 88. Geraldine will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Best and Clara Best (Bivin); her spouse Loren Qualls; and her siblings, Billy Best and Kathleen Shipley.
She is survived by: her sons, Bradley Qualls (Brenda) of Palmyra, IL and Brent Qualls (Monica) of Colorado Springs, CO; her grandchildren, Silas Qualls of Palmyra, IL, Kayla Kromer (Derek Haggard) of Jacksonville, IL, Kara Kromer of Springfield, IL, Derek Qualls (Melanie) of Winfield, IN, Lauren (Christian Peraza) of Colorado Springs, CO and Dane Qualls (Rosee) of Austin, TX; her great grandchildren, Brody, Grace, Liam, Otto, Pace, Nell and Emmett; her brother Michael Best (Cathern) of Palmyra, IL; and her pet Ringo.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 23rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Airsman & Calvert Funeral Home (521 N Springfield St, Virden, IL 62690). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Blooming Grove Christian Church (29207 Quarton Rd, Palmyra, IL 62674).
