It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Steven Armstrong of Palmyra, Illinois, born in Oakford, Illinois, who passed away on August 3, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell and Beverly; and his siblings, Russell "Rusty" Armstrong Jr. and Dolly Armstrong. He is survived by: his children, Jamie Armstrong and Alicia Vogt; his grandchildren, Adalynn Renee Bauser and Oakley Otto Schafer; his siblings, Linda Duncheon, Janet Nolting (Bill), John Armstrong, Clara McCoy (Bub), David Armstrong and Mike Armstrong (Shawn); and his close friend Charles Neal. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hurley Funeral Home - Petersburg (122 W Douglas St, Petersburg, IL 62675). A burial will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Kilbourne Cemetery (411 4th St, Kilbourne, IL 62655).
