He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph E. Schmidt and Marguarite Schmidt; and his brother John Schmidt (Sandi). He is survived by: his daughters, Terri McDonald (Patrick), Linda Schmidt (Chuck Doyle) of Joseph Daniel and Michelle Simokat; and his brother Richard (Marilyn).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kerry Funeral Home (7020 W 127th St, Palos Heights, IL 60463). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location.
