He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence McCasland and Ruth McCasland (Johnson); his siblings, Lawrence and Shirley Fritz; and his granddaughter Ashley Gustafik.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his children, Brian (Jennifer) and Cheryl Newport (Robert); his grandchildren, Charlie, Jack, Paige, Abby, Emily and Meaghan; and his sister Elsie Kuenzli. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
