He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Ellen Gibson; his parents, Thomas Leyden and Mary Carroll Leyden; and his siblings, Eleanor Lynch (late Noel), Agnes Blaney (James), Joseph (Mary Ann), Theresa Urbanski (late Ed) and Anna Leyden.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
