He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin James and Catherine Yonker (Hoort); his wife Dorothy Persenaire Yonker; his daughter Cathy Larsen; his brothers, Kenneth Yonker (Mary) and Norris Yonker (Peggy); and his siblings-in-law, Betty Douma (Con), Phyllis Groot (John), Jean Rossier (John), June Wolff (Earl), Charles Persenaire (Phyllis) and John Leo.

He is survived by: his sister-in-law Donna Leo; his daughter Wendy Sue Van Vugt (Eric); his nibling Thomas Yonker (Judy); his son-in-law Dave Larsen (Sally); his grandchildren, Josh Larsen (Debbie), Anne Vander Weele (Dave), Jennifer Harris (Chad), Erin Haan (Craig), Cate Huizenga (Joe), Heather Ramirez (Austin), Kyle Yonker (Heather), Tim Van Vugt and Chad Yonker (Lorien); and his son Tom.
