He was predeceased by: his wife Esther; and his brothers, Edward Hartwig (late Dorothy), Alfred Hartwig (late Shirley) and Henry Hartwig (Shirley). He is survived by: his children, Thomas Hartwig (Maryann), Judith Hartwig, James Hiepler-Hartwig (Kristene), David Hartwig (Minerva) and Sandra Voss (late Stephen).
