He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Nicole Martin (Truman) and Lauren Johnston (Steve); his grandchildren, Emaleigh, Meagan, Ryan Martin, Dominic Johnston and Greyson Bradford; his siblings, Steve (Mary), Philip and Sharon Hensley; and his mother Dolores Cartalino.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Richard J Modell Funeral Home & Cremation Services (12641 W 143rd St, Homer Glen, IL 60491). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 9:15 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Woods Church (10731 W 131st St, Orland Park, IL 60462). A burial was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Good Shepherd Cemetery (16201 104th Ave, Orland Park, IL 60467).
