We are sad to announce that, on June 4, 2022, at the age of 88, Bernice Merrifield of Pana, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Sergio Lato; and her brother Herbert Pacheo. She is survived by: her children, Pat Bolin, Mark Childress (Janet Blue) and Dickie Merrifield; her grandchildren, Josh Standley (Malea), Michelle Standley, Chase Childress (Jamie Masters), Tiffany Childress-Welburn (Derick), Brandy Conway, Lindsay Conway and Ryan Collins; and her sister Dorothy Pacheo of Hilo, HI. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.

Memorials in Bernice's honor may be made to Pana Community Hospital Foundation for Quad County Hospice and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
