She was predeceased by: her parents, Hollie Wayne and Vera Smart (Anderson); and her siblings, Mervin Smart, Melvin Smart, Garold Smart, William Smart, June Rehfelt and Joy Winter.
She is survived by: her siblings, Kenny Smart (Carol) of Herrick, IL, Helen Baker of Jonesville, LA and Larry Smart (Karla) of Tower Hill, IL. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 10:00 AM and at 11:00 AM at the McCracken-Dean Funeral Home (308 E 2nd St, Pana, IL 62557).
Memorials in Carolyn's honor may be made to the Oral Cancer Foundation and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
