He was predeceased by: his parents, Dallas C. Stout and Helen L. Howard Stout Sr.; his children, James R. Stout Jr. and Nancy Stout; his siblings, Dale F. Stout, Dallas C. Stout, Frederick W. Stout, Larry F. Stout, Jerry L. Stout, Leona M. O'Dell, Helen Patsy Beck and Iva M. Bisby; and his son-in-law Douglas Warcup.
He is survived by: his daughter Edie Warcup of Pana; his grandchildren, Chelsey Stout, Jordan Stout, Kaley Vo (Rhoades) and Devin Rhoades; his great grandchildren, Julia Vo, Harrison Vo and Cayden Stout; and his sisters, Mini L. Power (Sam) of Crowder, Mary Martha Stout of Pana and Connie S. Harlan of Pana. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
