She was predeceased by: her parents, Wayne Nantkes and Martha Nantkes Robertson (Schaehrer); her spouse Jerry L. Merritt; and her brother Joe Nantkes. She is survived by: her children, Douglas Merritt of Pana, IL, Joseph Merritt of Pana, IL, Cheryl Culley (Dale) of West Frankfort, IL, Laura Merritt of Pana, IL and Eric Merritt of Herrick, IL; her grandchildren, April England, John Merritt, Bradley Merritt (Nikki), Tyler Heberling (Matt), Justin Merritt, Joe Merritt Jr. and Katie Merritt; her great grandchildren, Lindsey, Kailey Williams, Mason England, Bradley Merritt Jr., Lily Merritt, Faith Merritt, Marshall Merritt, Everett Merritt, Brynlynn Jones, Zachary Merritt and Trinity England; and her great great grandchildren, Liam, Raven, Addy, Alice and Alaina.
Memorials in Mary's honor may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
