Steve Morrell Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steve Morrell of Pana, Illinois, who passed away on April 12, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Morrell and Dorothy Morrell (Estabrook). He is survived by: his spouse Gail Goatley; his children, Matthew Morrell (Laura) of Pana and Amanda Lipe (David) of Nokomis; his grandchildren, Adrienne Brady (Chris), Aaron Lipe, Bostyn Morrell (Lauren), Kerstyn Moffett (Tyler), Brooklyn Morrell (Taylor Clements) and Karter Lipe; and his great grandchildren, Caiden Brady, Fiona Brady, Elwood Moffett, Lennon Morrell and Isaac Brady.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church (930 Haner St, Taylorville, IL 62568).
Memorials in Steve's honor may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Calvary Baptist Church, Taylorville and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
