He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Bertle and Virginia Rose Martin (Huston); his son Tony Martin; and his sister Ginger Adams. He is survived by: his children, Tim "T. J." Martin (Patti) of Paris, J. R., Phil Garver (Cyndi) of Paris and April Vinyard (Tyler) of Springfield; his siblings, Mike Martin (Pat) of Paris, Kevin Martin of Marshall, Cheryl White (John) of Paris and Chris Lovell of Paris; and his grandchildren, Jillian, Dillon, Madison, Katie, Erica, Payton, Sage and Amber. He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren.
