With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Janice L. Nicholson of Paris, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Janice left this world on June 24, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard Pleasant and Margaret Pleasant (Elkins); her husband Richard Allen Nicholson; her daughter Vickie Nicholson; her sisters, Wanda Martin and Shirley Higgins; her grandsons, Ricky Fessant and Kevin Craig; her granddaughter-in-law Amanda Fessant; and her great grandchild Madelynn Fessant.
She is survived by: her daughters, Denise Craig (Charles) of Paris, Donna Fessant (Joe) of Paris, Peggy Hornbrook (Larry) of Paris and Brenda Gordon (Rusty) of Paris; her brothers, Robert Pleasant (Barbara) of Annapolis and Roger Pleasant (Nedra) of Robinson, Illinois; her grandchildren, Dr. Gary Henderson, B. J. Fessant (Nichole), Brandon Fessant (Keri), Mallory Tapscott (Ray), Cory Craig (Denise), Emilee, Miah, Jasmine Hornbrook, Jacob, Jordon DuCharme, Duttie and C. J. Kross; and her granddaughter-in-law Heather Craig. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Templeton Funeral Home - Paris (600 E Court St, Paris, IL 61944).
For those who wish, the family suggests that memorials be made to the ECCF Kevin Craig Memorial Scholarship or to Christmas for Kids.
