He was predeceased by : his parents, Orval Henness and Jessie Henness (Vandevanter). He is survived by : his son Jason Henness of Metcalf; his brothers, Robert E. Henness (Gaylia) of Paris and William Henness (Virginia) of Paris; and his granddaughter Alicia Nicole Cohen (Kody) of Paris.

For those who wish, the family suggests that memorials be made to Otterbein United Methodist Church or the Edgar County Humane Association.
